If you've seen my other reviews you may have run across my All-Clad Stainless Dutch oven review. After paying twice as much for a comparable item I had found that they snuck in a lid from china that didn't even match the finish of the pot.

No such disappointments with the American Kitchen Dutch Oven. The finish between the pot and lid match exactly. The shape is like an 8 qt stock pot with short sides. I used it for the first time today on an induction stove and it conducted the heat well. The cooking temperature seemed even across the bottom which I observed when I was reducing the juices from the cooked vegetables.

Seeing as this also cost me half as much as the All-Clad product I couldn't be happier!

My only gripe is with Amazon - they shipped the pot in a box that was the same height as the Dutch Oven. So, there was no packing material on the top or bottom, only around the sides! If the box was ever stacked in transit the dutch oven was bearing...Read more
