Things are looking up for anyone with limited kitchen storage. This Oval Pot Rack hangs from the ceiling, keeping cookware within reach, yet out of the way. It's made of heavy-duty, hard-anodized aluminum for the complete Calphalon look, and is equally as durable as the cookware! Comes ready to assemble in compact packaging and includes hanging chains with Quick Link connectors, full assembly instructions and 6 single hooks and 2 double hooks. Additional hooks available separately. No wall/ceiling mounting hardware included.

Is your Calphalon collection getting out of control? Does finding the right pot mean triggering an avalanche of gourmet cookware when you open a cabinet door? Time to unclutter. Made out of the same heavy-gauge aluminum as Calphalon's hard-anodized cookware, this handsome ceiling-mounted rack puts your pots and pans on display, keeps them within quick reach, and frees up cabinet space, all at the same time. The oval shape is perfect to hang over a cooking island; it's a space-saving solution that actually enhances your kitchen's décor. (Also, the pans don't rub or scrape against one another, which minimizes damage to your valuable investment.) Calphalon's patented pot rack hooks can support up to 60 pounds each. They slide freely up and down the rack but won't come off when you reach for a pan. The rack itself is easy to assemble with simple household tools, but Calphalon recommends professional installation. Maybe that's why this kit does not include mounting hardware, although it does come complete with hanging chains. Overhead racks work best in high-ceilinged kitchens, unless you don't mind bumping your head on your beloved sauté pan every now and again. --Mary Park

This Calphalon 18x36-inch Anodized Aluminum Oval Pot Rack adds style and functionality to a kitchen when it is filled with matching Calphalon pots and pans, other cooking accessories, and equipment. However, even though this rack is mounted close to the ceiling, it would be difficult to walk underneath it without hitting one's head on something hanging from it unless ceilings are high. When this rack is mounted from the ceiling, using the included chains, it helps to use a Zircon studfinder to locate ceiling studs, which are usually 16 inches apart. Next, one can use an electric drill to make starter holes, and then install large eyebolts or screw hooks into the studs. Either 2 or 4 eyebolts or screw hooks can be used, depending on how heavy the items on the rack will be. (There are other ways to accomplish this task, but I am only saying how I did it!) I must admit I was skeptical in owning a pot rack, how would it look with pots on it etc. But alas my lack of space and remodeling my kitchen allowed me to try this out. I looked for pot racks for a long time researching on the web. I find this to be a huge space saver, and it holds my heaviest Le Creuset, and cast iron skillets etc with no problems. Just use balancing principals, offset one side heavy pan opposite side heavy pan etc. Very easy. I had to buy extra chain to come down from my high ceiling and had a professional hang it for me so I have no worries of it coming down. He measured it so it would be within my reach. What a joy, and easy to get pots off and put them back on. The hooks hold well, which was another concern of mine. In no way is it an eye sore even with ugly beat up pans.
A purchase well spent. If you love to cook you'll want to buy extra hooks. Highly recommended.

Perfect way to keeping my pots not only handy but looking great. It hangs right under my kitchen sink and actually very out of the way. My husband set it up so that I have enough room to stand underneath and still at reach. I couldn't of made a better choice. Its the first thing you notice as you enter my kitchen. I have my Calphalon pots and pans nicely hanging as well as my stainless steel colanders. A great investment I had actually been shopping around for one for a while. Everything else was to big to small to expensive or just plain did not convince me. I'm glad I took my time on making the perfect choice. I highly recommend it! I also purchased a set of extra hooks that came in very handy. I just don't get tired of admiring how well it worked for my needs but also looks so gourmet! I was so tired of pilling up my pots and pans in the cupboards, worrying about them getting scratched. I have the non-stick Calphalon set and add ons.
