Suitable for flavoring nearly everything imaginable, the four blends of spices and dried herbs in this set fully bless food when they're freshly ground. The set's corrosion-proof ceramic grinder adjusts from coarse to fine with the twist of a knob, and its soft housing cushions the hand. Simply remove the cap from a jar, snap on the grinder, point the grinder down, and twist, showering one of the blends either directly onto food or into the cap, which is calibrated to measure 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 teaspoon. (The 3-1/2-inch-tall jars can be filled with any herb or spice.) To switch the grinder from jar to jar simply push the release button. The set's European blend consists of tarragon, thyme, and rosemary; the Latin is cumin seed, coriander seed, and red chili pepper; the Asian is ginger, Szechuan peppercorns, and lemongrass; and the peppercorn mixes black, white, green, and pink peppercorns. --Fred Brack

I have all four sets and am totally satisfied. The grinding mechanism is ceramic, which is the only kind to have. When you have used up the spice you can refill the jars with the spice of your choice. The lables aren't printed on the jar so that makes the set very handy. Once you have used fresh ground spice you will never buy the bits of tasteless cardboard you find in the supermarket!

Go to Oxo.com and get any spice/grinding set..nothing for over $20..some only $15. Amazon has the clear salt and pepper grinder for over $34.00..get it on Oxo.com for $20. After checking out prices, most of Amazon's prices are much higher on these spice sets, almost double in some cases. NOT GOOD. The only good thing is possible free shipping on Amazon which you can wait for over a month and a half for items as I am right now...or pay the $4.95 on Oxo.com and get it much sooner. Your choice. :)
