I was very disappointed with the 'dutch oven'. This is a large stock pot, and a very nice one, but is far too light-weight to be considered a dutch oven. The bottom does seem to have a thin bit of Aluminum in the core, but the bottom is so light-weight it can't be called a dutch oven.
