Made of durable hard-anodized aluminum of uniform thickness, the pan is an excellent heat conductor and cooks food quickly and evenly. Its double-coated nonstick interior prevents food from sticking and makes cleanup easier. The pan has oval stainless-steel handles with a blasted satin finish that are comfortable to grip and are held in place by sturdy stainless-steel rivets. Also made of brushed stainless steel, the lid is domed to keep moisture in during cooking. This cookware is oven-safe up to 375 degrees F so you don’t have to dirty several pans to make one dish. All cookware in this line is 100-percent dishwasher-safe and is covered by a 10-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

If I could have cleaned the pot in the dishwasher, I would have given it 5 stars! The editorial review of this product claims the Simply Calphalon line is dishwasher safe. However, be aware, according to the Calphalon website, _The Simply Calphalon_ STAINLESS line is dishwasher safe, this pot is Hard-Anodized. A different line. I strongly advise against cleaning this pot in the dishwasher, you will void the 10 year Warranty. Check the Calphalon website for more details. By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Simply Calphalon 8-Quart Stockpot with Stainless-Steel Lid (Kitchen) This is a very nice stockpot, which I use frequently for stews, pasta, etc. Everything cooks up beautifully, and interior seems fairly scratch resistant, as evidenced by my teflon-challenged husband. Too bad the lid isn't glass. A word of warning -- THIS POT IS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE, contrary to what the description says; I found out the hard way. One round in the dishwasher and the exterior turned a dull whitish color. A wise friend told me to rub a little oil into the finish and it now looks practically new. |
