This is my very first piece of Staub (have several Le Creuset) and it is simply adorable! The first thing I did when I unpacked it was set it on my stove and it has been there ever since. I always wanted to try Staub and I doubt that I will be disappointed. I decided to try this piece first, as I knew it had to be beautiful and with Valentine's Day so near, I felt it was the one thing I should try.

The quality is obvious, as the finish and color are gorgeous and it is very heavy for the size, with a snug fitting lid.

I plan on serving red and white heart-shaped ravioli with Alfredo sauce (didn't think the usual tomato sauce would look too good with the bright red ravioli hearts) for Valentine's Day dinner and I will use the Staub heart to heat the sauce and serve it at the table. This piece is a little small, so I will probably primarily use it as my sauce and gravy pot year round. I love the idea of having a cast iron gravy pot as I feel I can leave it on...Read more
