World Cuisine Round Enamel Cast Iron Dutch Oven 6 3/4 Quart with Lid, Red

This is a wonderful pot, the price when I got it was spectacular, and I have used it several times with excellent results. As one would want from a Dutch oven, it holds heat beautifully, allowing a beautiful fond to develop when sauteeing for the braise, has ample capacity for virtually any roast, stew, soup or casserole, and is the perfect color (for my kitchen, at least!). Cleanup is a breeze, since you will automatically deglaze the pan as part of the process of doing a braise. I've used the well-known French brand of enamel cast iron, and I don't see any difference in performance with this one. There is one puzzle: I bought this from Amazon in September, 2008, and paid less than $80 for it. I wonder why the price is so different now? Regardless, this is an excellent product.
